Pregnancy Preparation & Beyond Yoga Care

This is a valuable first step in preparing one’s body, mind, and spirit for significant life changes. This program is designed for you if you’re currently trying to conceive and boost your fertility, or want to prepare your body for a future pregnancy. A continuous practice for both husband and wife.
This is a series of yoga poses and breathwork that promote relaxation, encourage blood flow, increase blood circulation and improve fertility treatment success.
BENEFITS
Stress Reduction: There’s no denying it, having a hard time getting pregnant can be emotionally, physically and mentally exhausting. In fact, people experiencing infertility have rates of depression and anxiety similar to those of people facing cancer or other chronic diseases. Stress has a huge impact on the ability to conceive. But there’s hope. Yoga is proven to be an effective stress-reduction tool. Breathing techniques associated with yoga can help lower the stress hormone cortisol in the body. This, in turn, can increase your chances of conceiving.
Improved Circulation: Many cases of infertility arise due to blockages that impede blood flow. Yoga helps direct blood flow toward those organs so that you create a nurturing internal environment for those eggs and embryos. It can increase your blood circulation and ensure that it reaches the reproductive organs. This helps to provide these reproductive organs with more oxygen and other vital nutrients. This too can help create a positive environment for a pregnancy.
Balanced Immunity: Yoga is a great way to boost and balance the immune system. It is thought that the immune system may be behind a large number of “unexplained infertility,” diagnoses. Practicing yoga helps you find your inner calm, which in turn can help raise the number of white blood cells in the body. This not only helps fight common diseases but can also help you beat infertility.

Prenatal yoga, when approached with a trauma-informed lens, supports mental, emotional, and physical well-being during pregnancy. By cultivating “yoga-awareness,” it helps mothers stay calm and grounded, fostering a deeper connection to their bodies and reducing fear around labor. This practice provides tools for relaxation, deep breathing, and mindfulness, which can alleviate anxiety, manage stress, and build emotional resilience as pregnancy progresses.
A trauma-informed approach honors each person’s unique experience, allowing them to reconnect with their body in a safe, non-judgmental way. It encourages body awareness, self-compassion, and personal autonomy, empowering mothers to listen to their bodies, adjust poses as needed, and trust their own instincts throughout the process.
Prenatal yoga also helps ease physical discomforts, supporting strength and flexibility, while fostering a positive relationship with one’s changing body. Recommended after the 12-week scan, or with a doctor’s approval, it ensures the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Always listen to your body and consult with your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise during pregnancy.

After childbirth, it’s essential to give yourself the time and space to heal, both physically and emotionally. Postnatal yoga, with a trauma-informed approach, offers a gentle and restorative practice that supports your recovery in a safe, compassionate way. This practice helps ease physical tension, manage stress, and address emotional challenges like postpartum depression, all while honoring your unique journey and healing process. The focus is on creating a space where you can listen to your body without judgment, move at your own pace, and make choices that feel right for you. Whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or C-section, postnatal yoga encourages self-compassion, body awareness, and emotional resilience, allowing you to gradually reconnect with your body and sense of well-being.
Postnatal yoga is generally recommended 4 weeks after vaginal birth and 6 weeks after a C-section, once you’ve received approval from your healthcare provider. Always prioritize your well-being, trust your body’s wisdom, and consult with your doctor before starting any new practice

What They Say

I met Krish at the height of the pandemic. Although I exercised regularly, I was looking for something that would not only enable me to increase flexibility and muscle strength, but also fill my great need for calm and peace during very uncertain times.
Krish was the answer to many of the inner emotional problems I had. I was diagnosed as bipolar, on top of that I learned that I had unexplained infertility. Every other day, Krish would guide me thru a 55 minute meditation and yoga practice that significantly improved how I dealt with my personal struggles and difficulties. It was as if I had a personal manual to redirect me into dealing with day to day activities, without the need for medication, a way to appease my anxieties without the need for anger or lashing out.
It’s been a year since I last saw Krish. And it’s been two years since I last took medication for my condition, and now I have a healthy one year old.
I miss Krish. To this day, my breathing patterns and mindfulness of slowing down and taking things in or whatever is thrown at me are now found within myself – a reminder to take it one at a time, a minute at a time, a day at a time. Funny though, my son does it, too!
Thank you, Krish. You really did change my life… for the better.

“When I learned I was pregnant, I just turned 40 and was anxious if my body was ready for childbirth. I was already practicing Yin Yoga with Krishna and so I explored the possibility of doing one-on-one pre-natal yoga sessions. Krishna agreed and even accommodated to have the sessions in her own space. The sessions were always special–Krishna made sure I always felt safe and comfortable in all the poses, she also prepared affirmation statements about motherhood during practice and this helped prepare not only my body but more importantly my mind and heart for childbirth and beyond.” – Mia
