“Radical Rest”

A YOGA & MINDFULNESS RETREAT
March 2022
Haya Nature Resort, Botolan, Zambales
We offer this invitation to each of us – take time to radically rest, unplug, and reclaim ourselves back. Let the earth hold us with tenderness for as long as we need.

What They Say

“My Radical Rest Retreat experience was so surreal that almost a month has passed and I still can’t believe it happened – I’m so glad it happened – and I can’t be grateful enough that it happened! Radical Rest gave me what I needed the most two years into the pandemic: to rest, recover, and reconnect. To rest against the backdrop of both the mountains and the sea and amidst the lush landscape and intuitive services offered by Haya Zambales. To recover and heal through immersing one’s self under the sky and in the ocean, and within the safe and loving space provided for by the co-participants. To reconnect with souls so beautiful, welcoming, and supportive, that no one would think most participants were strangers to one another until the day one of Radical Rest. All these we owe to Teacher Krish who, apart from being a reputable, effective, and well-rounded yoga teacher, did a spectacular job of bringing into fruition the Radical Rest – a holistic program that would objectively take an entire team to plan and execute. Her purity of intention and compassion for the participants were deeply felt during the entire program (and beyond!). I’m still in awe of how she budgeted such a premium experience (complete with personalized spoils and souvenirs) given the modest cost asked of us. She gifted us with a well-crafted 3-day program embodying the perfect balance between structure and free play. She taught us different breathing techniques and meditation methods to our liking. She showed us different yoga practices depending on what our bodies need best at a given moment. In all, none of these was imposed as we can always opt out depending on our current mood, needs, and goals. Truly, Teacher Krish and her Radical Rest Program—like Yoga— will honor and meet you where you are. In Radical Rest, everything felt so right and it felt like everyone was right where s/he needed to be–I know I was. Thank you for the gift of Radical Rest, teacher Krish! Your light, wisdom, and passion to share enabled me to take the learnings to heart and integrate them with my practice moving forward. You make this world a better place!” – Atty. Grace

“On our way back to Manila, Krish asked me, so what is your feedback about the retreat? I paused for a while, never expecting to be confronted with this question too soon, hahaha. It was actually good, though time was not enough, my initial response. Well, when is time actually enough when you are enjoying it? For 3 days and 2 nights, I enriched myself with different yoga styles and meditate on nature: the soft breeze of the wind and the soothing calmness of the waves. I explored, deepened, and nourished the pose, the flow, and the breath. Fifteen yogis and yoginis, some are friends, some are acquaintances, and others are strangers. Yet, we created a safe space, remain present whenever possible, and showed kindness while we listen to courageous sharing of life, experiences, and our unique practices. In the end, we shared a yoga bond, that we wish to renew as often as we can. This is my second mindfulness and yoga retreat and I am looking forward to more. Namaste.” – Kissette

“Radical Rest was my first yoga retreat experience. I like the way Krish structured the activities and allowed us to experience yoga and meditation in different forms – Hatha, Yin, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa. It allowed both self-introspection and connection with others, within a safe space and a supportive community. Definitely looking forward to the next!” – Polly

“It was my first time joining a yoga retreat and I am so glad I did. Thank you so much Teacher Krish for organizing and facilitating it. My Human design is that of a projector. We are supposed to be guides of the world, offering unique perspectives, but we need to wait for invitations before we do. We also need to take care of our energy and rest and relax when we feel the need to for it. Last weekend, I felt I was able to be whom I am really designed to be. I was invited to join, speak, and even dance, and I did. I shared my stories and my resources, and I felt acknowledged, appreciated, and supported. I was able to rest my mind and body. And while the retreat is over and we are all back to our lives, I am so grateful for the opportunity to connect with such beautiful beings who welcomed me wholeheartedly and whom I am happy to have communed with.” – Erika
